I can't seem to figure out what this is. It scared me to death while painting the deck tonight, I hit it with the paint brush, that's why it looks paint-y. It was about 1 1/2 - 2 inches long, very loud buzzing sound as it flew. I have never seen anything like this before. Mostly I'd like to know if it's something I need to worry about and/or be grateful that it didn't bite or sting me. Sorry the images are not quite as professional as some of the others submitted, it was taken with a cell phone in a -very- shaky hand. Thank you!
