Not an expert
So this is just a guess. A Looper definitely, but I think it looks more like the Gray Looper, Hodges #8895. BHowever, only the Common Looper Moth - Hodges#8908 Autographa precationis has been seen in New Hampshire as I am sure you know. If you lighten your photographs you may be able to tell more about the coloration. I think the picture is too dark for identification.

Based on date and location, Autographa precationis seems to be the best match. Nice shots!

 
I will lighten them
I have already lightened them quite a bit, I didn't want them to get washed out but I'll do my best to correct them further.

I still think it is a Gray Looper, but I am not qualified to make an ID.
