Robber fly mating, red femurs - Promachus rufipes

Size: large robber fly
Red-legged Cannibal Fly? These are everywhere now and mating. Very noisy. I witnessed one lifting and taking a dive (like off a spring board at the pool) to capture a bee. They are taking Honey Bees among other things.
