Valley Forge National Historical Park, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA

Size: Maybe around 6.5 mm?
These images were shot during their Bug BioBlitz with the The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University

Looks like Holcocephala, any chance of getting to species?

Moved
Moved from Robber Flies.

Question.
Was the species caught on branch tips/ high grass or in low ankle level grass?

Sweeping
People were seeing these on the tips of branches in the high grass and weeds, but I caught this one while sweeping along the edge where the mowed grass meets the high weeds so I can't say for sure on this particular individual.

Holcocephala fusca
Holcocephala fusca. The hind basitarsus and hind tibia are smaller than hind femur when they should be ~35% larger.

Thanks
!
