Acupalpus testaceus tentatively
Acupalpus testaceus tentatively
based on my microscopic examination of this specimen which is deposited in the P.W. Messer collection as a photo-voucher. Thanks Iustin.

This individual shows dorsal sections somewhat darker compared to two typical examples of A. testaceus captured in same area about same time and posted on BugGuide (#1004689, 997856). My determination is therefore supported/biased by an apparent "guilt by association". A possibility is an obscure sister species and so I'll need to revisit this one.
