Fly wasp-like lateral possibly robber fly - Laphria gilva - Female
Rocky Mountain National Park, Larimer County, Colorado, USA
June 28, 2013
Size: BL ~ 14.5 mm
This wasp-like fly was seen on the Cub Lake Trail, elevation about 8200'. Third antennal segment elongate. Proboscis present. Tarsi with 2 pads. I can't tell if the space between the eyes is depressed. One leg is very long. Any help with its identification is greatly appreciated.
