Dang nab it Moth - Scoliopteryx libatrix

Dang nab it Moth - Scoliopteryx libatrix
Slyvania, lucas County, Ohio, USA
August 31, 2014
It had several bright reddish orange 'tufts'/ protrudences on its dorsal side.
I didn't get the dorsal view. It flew as I stepped onto the porch.
I'd photographed it through two panes of glass for this ventral shot.

Dang. Didn't get the shot.

Any chance of an ID for curiosity's sake . . . then frass away :)

Thank you Kyhl . .
So nice on this winterish spring day to get some good news.

Scoliopteryx libatrix?
More by the shape than anything else. They do have some red on the top.

Jason! Thank you !
I didn't think there was much hope for an ID. I was so disappointed that I missed the shot. Thank you so much,

No problem
Glad I could help. :-)
