Size: about 1.5"
Found in Sisar Canyon, about 2000' elevation. I don't remember what plant I found it on. I believe it is a Variable Checkerspot - Euphydryas chalcedona.

yes - Euphydryas chalcedona
I'm pretty sure this is the only species found here.

E. editha is perhaps in the area, but I suspect higher up.
