spider - Neoscona crucifera

spider - Neoscona crucifera
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
September 2, 2014
Size: 1 -2"
Photos taken through the window with porch light on and a flash on camera. This guy makes his web every night after midnight - at least for the three days I checked. By morning, the web is gone! The web is a pretty good size!

spider
I'll see if it is there tonight and try for a dorsal. Thanks!

Difficult to ID from just a ventral image
This looks to be Neoscona and we would guess crucifera, but would need a dorsal to confirm that.
