New borid batch - Boros unicolor - Boros unicolor

New borid batch - Boros unicolor - Boros unicolor
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
March 20, 2007
Size: 11 - 16 mm
I have been looking for several weeks for some borids to send to Japanese researcher Ueno Teruhisa and found five under the bark of two dead pines between 8 and 12 inches in diameter. Interestingly, these and other similar trees were loaded with Pyth*idae (P. plan*us and P. nig*er), both adults and larvae, which I had never found before on standing trees.

That's my new $20 precision-engraved metric rule in view. Its divisions are half-millimeters.
