Saddleback Caterpillar - Hodges#4700 - Acharia stimulea

Saddleback Caterpillar - Hodges#4700 - Acharia stimulea
Wildwood Park; Radford, Virginia, USA
September 4, 2014
I don't need an ID - it's pretty easy to see that this is Acharia stimulea. I found it on the backside if a blackberry leaf in the middle of wooly aphids. (I think that's what they were.) However, I do have a question:
Is there a relationship between the caterpillar and the wooly stuff?
