Identification
Barnes & McDunnough (1917) original description is presented below and online at the link in the print references.
"Palpi upturned to about level of front; antennae bipectinate; thorax and primaries light shiny gray-brown, the latter crossed by numerous darker undulate lines; basal and median areas darker than the remainder of wing; postmedian area with the cross lines merely marked by dots and slight arrow marks on the veins. Secondaries rather uniform smoky with faint traces of the lines of primaries; outer margin of both wings faintly crenulate and marked by dots on each side of the veins. Beneath smoky with scarcely a trace of the maculation of the upper side showing through."
Range
Arizona and southern California to western Colorado.
Holotype ♂ from Palmerlee, Cochise County, Arizona.
