I went out to my garden at about 8:30 am and there were masses of these little meadow-hawks cruising over the grass and through the flower beds. There must have been thousands throughout my neighbourhood. I didn't see any of these before yesterday morning and today there are hardly any. The only meadow-hawk that I can find in bugguide that matches is the Black Meadow-hawk. I'd love it if someone could confirm this. Thanks!
