Chalybion californicum? - Chlorion aerarium

Chalybion californicum? - Chlorion aerarium
Quincy Lakes, Grant County, Washington, USA
August 30, 2014
Size: ca 15 mm
I would like to know how to distinguish this from Chlorion aerarium, which looks so similar and I guess has similar behavior. Thanks!

John, I wonder if many online photos of these two species, including in BugGuide, might be misidentified, as I can't see that difference when Iook at a bunch of photos. So Chlorion always has a wider head than Chalybion?
