Found on coastal rain forest edge on harbour shoreline of Bella Coola, north central coast of British Columbia. By rights it should be Polygonia satyrus, or maybe P. faunus, but that line of really blue irregular spots down the underside of both fore-and hindwings, and the clear pale band, make it look like a P. comma on the wrong coast. I don't have an image of the upper side of the wings. I'd really appreciate someone's opinion on this--thanks very much in advance.
