Size: ~2cm wingspan.
Saw this guy while I was wandering through Sagebrush/Buckwheat with Canon 100-400mm lens, hoping to find Whiptail Lizard to photograph. Didn't find any lizards, but did get a reasonable photo of this guy, as close as the 100-400 would focus.

The ones in most of California are traditionally included in subspecies mormo, but I'm sure they'll probably be segregated out with additional subspecies names eventually.
