This is the family Julidae, genus Brachyiulus.

Maybe order Julida?
Hi Peter, I photographed this species a couple weeks ago in Newport Beach, and though I'm no expert is millipedes the closest matches I've been able to find are in the Order Julida, family maybe Julidae or Parajulidae perhaps. See what you think.
