Don, I wouldn't consider Groton an alpine location:-)

Identified by:
Christopher Majka - Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History as Eutrichapion cyanitinctum. I believe that's a synonym for Apion, and maybe the new genus name soon.

 
Hmmm
just finished curating our Apion, and didn't recognize this name. Based on the online literature it seems to be an alpine/arctic species (not my picture of Groton during the summer). I would say maybe finitimus, but the photo by Tony looks to be something else.
