I think this may be an undescribed Baphala sp. given Ann Hedrickson's BOLD submission to BOLD in BOLD:AAH5079. This is not the same BIN for pallida.

More Caterpillar Images?
See if you have an image from this 2014 series of the larvae to compare with you 2013 series. If they are similar, I think we can with some confidence put the 2013 examples in Baphala pallida

Sorry--
I never saw the larvae until they were spinning their silk in the bottom of the jar and it was too late to disturb them. I'll keep my eye out for more though.

5965 – Baphala pallida
This looks like a Pyralid. Why did you move it to Gelechioidea?

Check out 5965 – Baphala pallida. The larvae feed on scale insects.
