I checked Bombus impatiens ranges in the east coast.
Wonder if it's also found in west coast.

Yes, it has escaped, despite the assurances of the sellers that it would not and could not, and apparently is becoming established in parts of the West, a long distance from where it belongs. :-(

It's a bee alright. Not sure if it's an anthophorine or eucerine. I think it's in one of those two groups. We'll wait and see what the bee experts say.
