Tachypompilus ferrugineus
Moccasin Lake, Winston, Douglas County, Georgia, USA

Large solitary wasp, very blue wings. Watched it for several minutes. It would always return to roughly same spot, now I know why - spider in background. I have seen these before but this was first opportunity to get an image of one.
