Planthopper - Cyrpoptus

Planthopper - Cyrpoptus

Cyrpoptus
not sure this is C. vanduzeei. Doesn't quite look like the specimens for C. vanduzeei. See here: http://d2vsp3qmody48p.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2014/08/CYRPOPTUS-4.jpg . Plus, vanduzeei is only known from the Southwest and Mexico.

Perhaps...
...its this species, shot in a close locale: http://bugguide.net/node/view/94723/bgpage

Fulgoridae
Cyrpoptus vanduzeei

not a leafhopper
It lacks a leafhopper's row of spines on the hind tibiae, and the wings seem too long. Maybe a Dictyopharid planthopper or something else?
