More info
I was told this might be some form of flat-backed millipede, Order Polydesmida.

Probably Xystodesmidae
Probably Xystodesmidae, one of the families of Polydesmida.

Xystodesmidae: Apheloriini
It is in the tribe Apheloriini, I believe in Genus Sigmoria, but Apheloria is similar. Dr. Shelley may narrow down based on range and color pattern though.
There seems to be some kind of damage to surface of rear segments, or maybe they are just dirty.

Thanks Jeff! I almost think the "scarring" is some kind of mold or lichen because of the regular patterns, but they could just be dried water spots- I can't tell. Next time I am out that way I'll try to get a better photo.

Thanks John!
