Thanks so much for looking at these. I see there is an image on Bugguide from Carr Canyon which is close to here.

MOTH ID
After much study, I believe this is a female Carmenta tecta image. The larvae feeds on mistletoe.The females of most of these southeastern AZ sesiid moths are not very well known.

If you don't get an ID in a couple of days, just move the images to Sesioidea where he definitely looks.
