Size: approx. 15mm (from memory
Taken early morning in a grassy area near citrus groves, just off a busy highway. I thought this might be a Tortrix of some kind but I can't find a match for it.

Ponometia?
Can you crop your image to a rectangle that is essentially 'just the bug'? You as contributor can click on your image and see the full size 2000 pixel image you posted. The rest of us are restricted to a 560 pixel reduction, so all we see is a tiny black/yellow dot in the center of a sea of green
