Size: 0.75mm
Four images: Could this be Dicyrtoma fusca? It is stuck to a glob of sap on a Basswood leaf (I think) and tries to get loose using it's "springtail" but it remains stuck.

Thanks, Jim. It was only after I got to the computer that I realized the poor little fellow was stuck and not just posing for me. Since I was so close to him, he was trying in vain to get away.

Sminthurinus hensawi
In Dicyrtoma the 4th antennal segment is quite short compared to the 3rd. In Sminthurinus the 4th antennal segment is much longer than the 3rd and the 4th antennal segment is not subsegmented.
