Little Bug - Bagrada hilaris - male - female

Little Bug - Bagrada hilaris - Male Female
Lathrop, San joaquin County, California, USA
September 21, 2014
Size: 1/4"
It is the first time that I have seen this kind of bug and I was excited when I found it on a green Tumbleweed in a field left unplowed , thankfully . There were all sorts of native weed plants and I was like a kid in a candy-shop ! I would appreciate any information on this little striking bug . There were many tumbleweed plants but I only found a small group of these bugs on one bush . There were lots of insect eggs on plants and many stages of bugs like the Harlequin bug , Plant bug and this fellow . Thanks , sincerely Beth
