Probably a common species; found crawling on the bark of a fallen hardwood tree. Also some odd arthropod (mite?) on the abdomen.

A very placid individual, found resting on my back patio. Image recorded at 4:16 PM, MST.
After cooperating for an astonishing 46 minutes of photography, it readily consumed a full drop of pure maple syrup as recompense, and flew away shortly after.
