Anasa tristis at two stages of instar - Anasa Niagara, Ontario, Canada July 26, 2011
Seeing these together was really interesting; they are very active, not eager to be photographed. Upon inspection of the zucchini plant I only found two adults, these two sets of instars and three sets of eggs....busy bugs!

Became covered in the critters while sitting on a bench in Douglas park Santa Monica. They where soft bodied when I agressivly brushed them off. I would say 150 of them on me. Thought they were ticks? But again I swear I could smash their soft bodies unlike a tick? What are they?
