Side of Dunsmore Canyon Trail, nectaring. Surroundings were heavily insolated, dense sage scrub with almost no invasive flora.
Only one I saw that day.

Found under a halfburied rock by the side of Cresenta View Trail. No other invertebrates were seen under that rock except a lavender thing which may have been a symphypleonan springtail (it got away before I could photograph).
Surroundings were sage scrub.

Leapt straight into middle of Dunsmore Canyon Trail while I was walking around. Surroundings were heavily insolated, dense sage scrub with almost no invasive flora.
I did not see a second one that day despite having hiked for almost 12 hrs straight.

Found under half-buried rock on side of Dunsmore Canyon Trail. Surroundings were heavily insolated, dense sage scrub with almost no invasive flora.
This individual was dead and in a spiderweb. I tried to collect its corpse, but it crumbled apart to flakes in my hands.
