Found in coastal environment, marsh plants, sand sediment. Humid and often windy. Inaturalist says family Erebidae, but I’m not sure how much that can be trusted.

Unknown cerambycid six-mile canyon, Cassia County, Idaho, USA June 24, 1979 Size: 24 mm
Color is consistent throughout, however, the edges of the outer elytra are reddish. There is a distinct ridged area in the center of the pronotum (it appears sort of skull shaped). The pronotum is significantly reduced at the junction with the elytral base. Collected by S.D. Porter
