Biography:

Physician and amateur naturalist and photographer focusing on the southeast and special interest in Robber flies, jumping spiders and hunting wasps including Pompilids.

If you are on this page because I have frassed one of your photos, it is not a vengeful act. I maintain the robber sections and after years of bugguide photo additions, some of the species sections have grown full of shots. Some were never meant to be representative photos. Some have no chance of ever being identified or are blurred or badly angled. Some are just in species such as Efferia aestuans and Promachus rufipes which have become overloaded. So the shot may be fine but we have thirty more of the same type. I am not judging the shots. I am just managing. I appreciate the skill it takes to shoot small animals in difficult light. All excellent compositions are retained.
