Biography:

I have two degrees in biology and biotechnology and studied microbiology, though I work as a chemist for the Texas Department of State Health Services Laboratory in Austin, Texas. I am also a mom of two, a naturalist, a gardener, amateur photographer, and a hiker (among many other outdoor activities). My family lives on about 3 acres in the Texas hill country, and we try to document as many native species as we can, with pictures and videos. It's been a great project and we have photographs/video of over 200 species and counting!
