I put up a sheet and a blacklight in the back yard in the summer of 2014 to help my daughter with an assigned insect collection for school (I, I mean she, got an A). She thought it was fun but I was hooked. I started mothing in earnest in late summer 2015 and have built an MV rig. I rely on this site, MPG, BAMONA, and Covell's Eastern Moths to help me ID what I photograph. Also active on the Moths of the Eastern U.S. FB group. Other interests include native fishes (former member of NANFA), edible wild mushrooms, and home brewing.
