Biography:

I have always been fascinated with the natural world, and I especially have an interest in species that are underappreciated or go unnoticed. I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in wildlife biology. My thesis is focused on the population dynamics of gars in tributaries of the middle Mississippi River. Gars are hated/persecuted fishes, but play crucial roles as apex predators. They really are incredible fishes!
