Michael W. Palmer, Contributor

Full name:
Michael W. Palmer
City, state, country:
Lane County, Oregon, USA
Biography:

I'm a retired botany professor, but have always liked arthropods.

We moved to Blue River, Oregon, just prior to the Holiday Farm Fire, and lost a family home. I am attempting to document some of the arthropod life following the fire.

My iNaturalist handle is @cosmopterix.

As of late March 2024, I have a laboratory and can work with more seriousness!

I have a discord server for the new lab (which I am dubbing the McKenzie Valley Bug Lab). Please let me know if you would like to be invited.

NOTE: I also post images of specimens collected from the Willamette National Forest. I sometimes neglect to mention on these images that I have a special use permit from USFS for collecting plants containing arthropods.
