Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology, Ecology concentration, from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, 2004.
Longtime interest in insects of the Northeast United States mixed hardwood forest and freshwater stream/pond communities (Piedmont and Highlands), with special interest in introduced exotic pest species impacting native trees. Additional interest in [CAREFUL] use of imported insect species as biological control agents of exotic invasive plant species such as Norway maple (Acer platanoides), tree-of-heaven (Ailanthus altissima), purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria), mile-a-minute vine (Polygonum perfoliatum), oriental bittersweet (Celastrus orbiculatus), and Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum, aka Fallopia japonica).
