Biography:

My formal training is in math and statistics. I formerly taught math (and a little statistics) at a small liberal arts college that has now closed its doors. Currently I pay the bills by working as a statistical consultant. However, my avocation (which I probably spend more time at) is natural history. I consider myself an aspiring naturalist with a desire to learn as much as I can about my place.

I appreciate the opportunity that bugguide.net provides for people such as myself, with little or no training, to get help with identifying the creatures that share the world with us.

In recent years I've been working on the development of a natural history wiki for Southeast Alaska
