Just an amateur photographer that became interested in photographing the spiders and insects that are in my back yard. For the most part I have left that area in its natural condition, which allows me to see more native plants and insects. All photos posted on bugguide were shot in my yard. Most photos are taken with Canon 70D using Canon 100mm Macro lens. I shoot in manual mode at ISO 100 with a speedlite flash. Auto-focus is preferred, since insects are tough enough to photograph.
