Biography:

My four boys and I have been collecting for their 4-H entomology collections since 2000. Almost all the "family" insects have been pinned by one of them. As of 2017 I still have two boys in 4-H Entomology, one in his last year: aged 18 and one 13 years old. We live on a half section farm that is divided in half by the West Branch of the Walnut River. We run Malaise, Pitfall, Light and Molasses traps at the river. We also travel extensively throughout the state of Kansas collecting insects. Our favorite place to travel to collect is Barber County, Kansas.
