Biography:

Polymer engineer/chemist in the Austin, TX area, originally from Seattle, with a background in chemical engineering, nanotechnology, and biomedical engineering.

Lifelong naturalist: started with arthropods and marine inverts in elementary school and went from there. Texas Master Naturalist (Lost Pines chapter, class of 2017), volunteer with Travis Audubon.

I'm evangelical about citizen science and am a heavy iNaturalist user, currently the admin of the iNaturalist project for Travis Audubon's Baker Sanctuary. Passionate about science and natural history museums and the role they play in engaging the public with the natural world.
