Biography:

Born and raised in Dortmund, Germany. MS and PhD from Ruhr-University Bochum and Max-Planck-Institute Bad Nauheim in Zoology/Zoophysiology. Entomological survey of Beech forest in NRW Germany. Research and teaching (comparative physiology) at University of Trondheim, Norway, UoF, Gainesville, UoA, Tucson.
Second carreer as a full time painter since 1995.
2010 Department of Entomology at the UoA Tucson

Currently working on a photo-atlas of the Coleoptera of Arizona.
If you have an interesting AZ beetle, I would love to borrow it for a photo!
