I'm an undergrad at Oklahoma State who has a passion for Acmaeodera (Coleoptera: Buprestidae). I also have interests in Cassidinae (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae), Zopheridae (Coleoptera), and Pentatomidae (Hemiptera), as well as a few other scattered genera, such as Anatis and Euphoria.

I try to give a bit more information about the observations I post in the descriptions. I have found reading others' descriptions here to be a) really fun and informational and b) very useful in finding the species myself. I do my best to tell a bit about all the buprestids I collect, throwing in an anecdote or two, in hopes of inspiring more people to go out and collect some themselves!
