I'm an enthusiastic insect collector and photographer. Over years of experience, insect collecting has become my best hobby, primarily because I like the artistic challenges of displaying specimens. That means my first concern for any insect specimen is to make it look awesome, then I find the scientific data I think necessary; this includes figuring the species of insect, the date, time, and place it was found, etc. (Of course, each individual specimen creates the collection as a whole, which is really what looks cool!)
I have also observed these arthropods in captivity;and(fun fact!) my favorite insect, as far as behavior goes, is the Carolina Mantid(Stagmomantis carolina).
In the area I live, there is a great diversity and population of insects, which is great!
