Biography:

I am an English/Humanities instructor at Pamlico Community College in Grantsboro, North Carolina - with a Masters Degree in ESL. I have always been fascinated by the beauty of insects. I grew up overseas in the Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the Republic of Niger. I wish I had had my current camera then! What shots I could have taken! I am a total amateur in the field, but I enjoy the variety of life all around me! This site is a wonderful source of information, both accessible and user-friendly. I learn something new each day from many of the contributors and editors, so my education continues.
