Nathaniel Green, Contributing Editor
Full name:
Nathaniel Green
City, state, country:
Pullman, WA, USA
Biography:

PhD student at Washington State University (Pullman) working on the systematics of Pseudomasaris. Previously I was in Akron, OH. My main interests are Hymenoptera and Araneae.
Feel free to email me with questions. I'm more than happy to help!

Post 2021 imaging:
Most of my recent images are produced using a Macropod system belonging to the Murray Lab at WSU along with Zerene Stacker.

Pre 2021 imaging setup:

I have a very old stereo microscope (1940's?) that was donated to me by an old professor. I'm just using that with my cell phone to take pictures. It magnifies at 10x, 30x, and (with very poor quality) 60x. My light setup is a cheap ring light off amazon and a gooseneck LED lamp, with some tissue paper (Kimwipes) over them to reduce glare. The lights probably cost $50 together.

If I remember correctly, when I got the microscope I did some research and you could buy one on Ebay for ~$100, and could get new eyepieces for cheap.

Almost all of the pictures I've posted have been taken using the old stereo scope, so it's passable, but not great quality.
