I've always had an interest in nature since I was a little kid. Then as an adult I started birding in 1989, and in 2000 it expanded to insects with the advent of digital cameras. I started with the Sony Mavica CD 1000, then the Canon 10D for 3 years, and upgraded to the 20D for a couple years, then the 40D, and Canon 100mm macro and 65mm macro lenses, and a Canon MT-24EX dual head ring flash. In April 2011 I upgraded my camera to the Canon 5D Mark II.
In the fall of 2012 a book I had been writing for a couple years was published, featuring lots of my pictures. Insects of New England and New York.

Some of my favorites.
