Biography:

I'm an artist, metalsmith, copyeditor, and layout designer, as well as an avid bug lover and general nature nut. I have served as the copyeditor of American Entomologist since 2003, and I have designed and edited several publications for the Ohio Biological Survey, including A Naturalist's Guide to the Fishes of Ohio and The Darkling Beetles of Ohio. I am particularly fond of beetles (especially tiger beetles and Calopterini) and periodical cicadas. For over 25 years, I have worked closely with my husband, Gene Kritsky, on mapping the emergences of Magicicada broods, surveying tiger beetles (particularly at Teddy Roosevelt NP, ND), and various aspects of cultural entomology.
