Biography:

I have been studying insects for years, and though I do not have any sort of entomology degree, I have taught myself quite a lot about some groups (helped by some informal training by a few professionals as well).

I currently focus on IDing Diptera with a strong focus on Mydidae and Chrysopilus for now. I hope to get to Asilidae and Syrphidae more sometime soon too. For the last two years I have focused my work on iNaturalist (I am bugologist2 over there) and have learned quite a lot from it. Now I am looking forward to bringing some of the things I learned over here to help with the many unclassified Diptera that need sorted!
