Biography:

I don't have a naturalist background. I love taking pictures of insects and spiders, and then I try to identify them. Bugguide has been a huge help, but I'm still a neophyte at identification. I am in awe of the editors here (thanks very much to all of you for your help!).

I have submitted several pictures which were new species for Bugguide:
Macrosteles lepidus
Thelia uhleri
Pyractomena ecostata
Dolerus versus Norton
Epicauta strigosa
Nothomyia calopus
Menkokia blandii
Torymus longior
Eubule spartocerana
Abrenthia cuprea
Prosenoides flavipes
Mesocrina sp.
Bembix texana
Leptocera fulva
Obeza floridana
Lepidodexia sp.
Atacta brasiliensis
Gonia sagax
Chalcosyrphus metallifer
Platypalpus discifer
Dacerla sp.
Cochliomyia hominivorax
Smidtia fumeriferanae
Hypocharassus gladiator
Pachyopella sp.
Camponotus novogranadensis
Eusarca terraria
Limonius semiaeneus
